Sustainable Seafood Lunch 2010
Following the huge success of the first sustainable seafood lunch last year, the MSC is inviting all schools that are part of the Fish and Kids project to join workplace canteens and restaurants for a celebration of sustainable seafood. The lunch will take place on Thursday 30 September 2010.
The event aims to generate awareness about sustainable seafood issues and to increase knowledge of the MSC as a positive solution. The event will be coordinated from the school kitchen/cafeteria with the help of MSC certified foodservice companies.
We now have over 2000 schools, restaurants and workplaces registered to take part in the UK alone, and Murdock is delighted that over 1200 of these are primary schools in England and Wales!
Taking part in the Sustainable Seafood Lunch?
The assembly plan in the Cooks Kit is a great way of bringing the whole school together to learn about sustainable food choices. You might like to use these slides too - they are designed to work alongside the assembly plan.
If you are thinking of dressing up, like the staff from Highfield Primary School in Bolton, you might like to make your own Murdock Mask
